Asya Haikin, Yoga Therapist

Twenty years of helping people like you live comfortably in their bodies

Asya Haikin, Yoga Therapist

Welcome to my website, I’m so glad you are here! Yoga has made such a difference in my life, and I’d love to share some of that experience with you. The first yoga book I read while still in college was called “Yoga for Common Ailments.” Since then I've been fascinated by the healing capacity of yoga and dedicated my time to applying yoga to heal myself and others.

I came to yoga first to get relief for back pain from scoliosis, then for stress relief, when the pressure of graduate school started to affect me physically.  I know from lived experience that yoga has the capacity to heal both the mind and the body.

If you are curious about whether yoga might be the right solution for you, I encourage you to explore my website, and schedule your free consultation call below.

I’m a life-long learner. I have endless curiosity about the workings of the human body, mind and spirit. Along with practicing the ancient art of yoga I stay on top of the latest research and evidence-based practices in the fields of health, healing, and pain care. My studies also have taken me to learn iRest, an evidence-based practice which blends traditional yogic meditation with modern psychology, Reiki hands-on healing, and Himalayan singing bowls. These tools allow me to help my clients find deep relaxation in the brain and the body and stimulate healing and pain relief.

My favorite thing to do is to solve problems. I love to look at human bodies with an eye to figuring out how to help people move with ease. Over the years, I’ve perfected my skills to:

  • Determine small changes you can make to create big shifts in your wellbeing

  • Identify  the patterns in your body that may be contributing to pain

  • Help you feel confident, strong and at ease in your body

  • Give you tools for mental and emotional wellbeing

  • Help you create habits that will consistently keep you out of pain

Transplanted from Russia as a young adult, I’ve been a resident in the DC area for the past 25 years. I love everything this vibrant region has to offer, but also like to escape to spend time in nature. I live in Arlington with my husband, two teenage kids and two cats. When not doing yoga I enjoy hanging out with my family, hiking, traveling, and all things art.
